Rotary Youth Speaks

After an excellent round one, Claires Court Senior Boys competed in the second round of the Rotary International Youth Speaks Public Speaking competition, held at Liston Hall in Marlow.
Senior Boys were represented by an Intermediate team; Lawson (Chair), Panashe (Speaker) and Jaimin (Vote of Thanks), and a Senior team of Sam (Chair), Dan (Speaker) and Freddie (Vote of Thanks).
Rob Bowen, Senior Boys drama teacher, said:
“Both teams performed excellently having made brilliant progress since round one. Unfortunately they will go no further through the competition this year having been beaten by Thorpe House (Intermediate) and Royal Grammar School High Wycombe (Senior).
“The Intermediate team were some of the youngest in their category and the Senior team fielded a Year 8 speaker against Sixth Form opponents, so both our teams deserve a massive congratulations despite the result. Well done boys - round three next year perhaps?”
