Vote 100 Workshop At National Portrait Gallery

‘Courage, Equality and Change’; the three words Year 6 focused on during their visit to the National Portrait Gallery to take part in a Vote 100 workshop.
The morning’s focus was on the Suffragists and the Suffragettes, looking at two portraits in the gallery. In the afternoon, the girls looked at three portraits in the galleries, including portraits of Malala and Dorothy Hodgkin. They then had to decide which woman they would like to see commemorated in a portrait or public sculpture.
Jawad Laouira, Junior Girls Year 6 teacher, said:
“The girls had a wonderful time and impressed the facilitator with their knowledge!”
