My World at the Tate Britain

As part of their ‘My World Project’ Year 10 boys and girls recently spent a day exploring the galleries and gathering research for their sketchbooks at one of London’s most popular attractions, the Tate Britain.
With a busy schedule, the pupils spent the morning exploring galleries recording and sketching the exhibitions and later in the afternoon enjoyed a workshop focusing on romantic painter J. M. W. Turner.
Frances Ackland-Snow, Senior Boys art teacher, explained:
“Pupils were taught how to engage with Turner’s work through their emotions.”
