EPSCA National Semi-Finals
Saturday saw an early start for members of the Junior Boys chess team as they made their way to Bristol to participate in the English Primary Schools’ Chess Association National Semi-Finals.
Competing in the U11 and U9 categories Junior Boys came up against some of the best chess players in the country and showed they were up for the challenge with wins against Twickenham Preparatory School and Bristol Grammar School.
Richard Hogg, Junior Boys Head of Chess, praised the boys:
“Whilst we did not match our second place from last year, the boys represented Claires Court admirably. Roll on next year!”
