Engineering in Action
Last week Year 12 students studying Maths and Physics enjoyed a trip to the Emmanuel Centre, London, to attend a series of interesting and practical lectures entitled ‘Engineering in Action’.
Touching on topics the students are learning as part of their A Levels, the lectures gave an interesting insight into how engineering is used in the different sectors of industry and how it is opening doors to future adventures. One lecture in particular highlighted the importance of sustainable energy for the future and how current fuels can be changed to cleaner and sustainable future fuels.
Kim Hall, Sixth Form Office Manager, said:
“The day introduced students to different types of engineering and was very eye opening for those looking to study engineering at university”.
