A Morning of Celebration in Sixth Form
“Celebrate what you've accomplished but raise the bar a little higher each time you succeed” - Mia Hamm. The last day of the Academic Year concluded for Year 12 with a morning of celebration.
The Sixth Form team, together with parents, grandparents and friends, celebrated the remarkable events and activities the students have participated in during the past year and also, more importantly, the growth and development of the students, who are a credit to themselves, their families and our Sixth Form. Knowing full well there is so much more to come from them, subject teachers, personal tutors and Heads of Year will continue to encourage, cajole and inspire them to achieve the very best they can throughout next year.
As well as celebrating the year group as a whole the assembly also recognised some stunning individual achievements, presenting 'Aim High' Awards to a number of students as well as badges of office to the Learning Ambassadors who will have many and varied duties to exercise. Following a recent democratic staff and student vote our Heads of School were announced during the celebration, with staff and students alike immensely proud, and expectant, of the individuals taking on various responsibilities under the guidance of Head Girl Kayla and Head Boy, James.
Stephanie Rogers, Head of Sixth Form, commented:
“We are ready for another productive and enjoyable school year - but let's enjoy the summer break first to refresh and recharge for it!”
