Our new campus – Thank you for your support
On behalf of everyone at Claires Court we would like to thank you all for your wonderful support last night, and over recent months and years. Your backing has been tremendous, and your respectful support and applause as we made our case for the new campus was uplifting on an otherwise disappointing evening. The support of the Claires Court community continues to inspire us and we will continue to get on with the ‘day job’ of running an outstanding school, to provide the best educational opportunities we can for our pupils.
Applications refused by the planning panel
Last night the Maidenhead Area Development Management Panel voted to refuse our applications for a new school campus at Cannon Lane. We respectfully disagree with the decisions taken by the panel last night. The failure by Officers to consider and present the applications in a holistic, joined-up way, and instead to require councillors to look at each application separately resulted in decisions being reached without due consideration for the overall benefits that our proposals will bring. We are naturally disappointed that your voice and the more than 2,000 of you who wrote to your councillors have not been heard. We are now taking stock and will be in touch soon to let you know our next steps with these applications in mind.
Onwards and upwards
As the Principals of Claires Court, with the backing of our Executive Headteacher Justin Spanswick and all our Heads, we would like to take this opportunity to reassure you that our school will remain the wonderful environment that it is for your children to learn, develop, live, thrive and be inspired. We are and will always be committed to you, our families. We reassure you that Claires Court will remain loyal to its values and we look forward to a vibrant future for our school over many years yet to come.
