Facing Fears and Embracing Adventure at Marchants Hill
Our intrepid Year 5 pupils embraced a packed weekend full of adventures as they journeyed to PGL Marchants Hill for a residential trip.
With 45 acres of grounds, Marchants Hill had plenty of activities to engage and entice the pupils with a fun filled programme. Activities focused on team building, with the pupils having to work together to build a raft which could carry them safely across a body of water! There was also the opportunity to build resilience and overcome fears with activities such as climbing and abseiling.
PGL Leader Conor commented that the children behaved excellently and he ‘couldn’t have asked for a better group of children to look after!’
Linda Stay, Junior Boys teacher, added:
“The pupils had an amazing time and embraced the PGL activities, having the opportunity to work on their team building skills; learn resilience; face fears and build on their ability to empathise with others. An amazing time was had by all!”
