Racing ahead at the Maidenhead Marlins Primary School Swimming Gala
A successful afternoon at the Magnet Leisure Centre, Maidenhead, saw our Junior Boys and Girls compete in the Maidenhead Marlins Primary School Swimming Gala, achieving an overall second place!
In total twelve schools took part in the gala competing in relays as well as individual races. The relaxing atmosphere saw our pupils compete at their best, winning most of the individual races and all of their relays bar the cannonball relay in which the team came a close second.
At the close of the gala our Claires Court finished an impressive second overall with our Year 6 Junior Boys topping the leaderboard to finish first.
Karin Whiteley, Junior Boys swimming instructor, said:
“It was a lovely afternoon of swimming in a relaxed environment and the children were awarded ribbons if they finished 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in their heat.”
