Making waves in Geography
Creativity and engineering were recently at the forefront in our Year 7 girls Geography lessons as pupils designed some fantastic models to illustrate the water cycle for their topic of ‘rivers’.
Pupils focused on various features of the water cycle from the drainage basin to waterfalls and used a variety of materials to build 3D models.
Sarah Clifford, Senior Girls Head of Geography, spoke of the value of the activity: “The girls really enjoyed the hands-on approach to learning and said that it helped them to learn different features of either the water cycle, the drainage basin or the waterfall. I was impressed with the level of creativity from the pupils.”
