U16 Netballers crowned ISA National Champions

Our sportswomen continue to demonstrate their sporting prowess across the country as our U16 Netball team are crowned the ISA National Champions.
Having only previously achieved a bronze medal in the competition, the team were hungry for more. Topping the group, Claires Court won all of their games convincingly bar one tight match against Queen Ethelburga’s College which ended in a draw. Through to the semi-finals Claires Court capitalised on their opponent’s mistakes to win 16-6 and secure their place in the final. Facing the defending champions, Alderley Edge, the team played some impressive netball to win the match 12-9 and be crowned national champions.
Rebecca Guttridge, Senior Girls PE teacher, commended the team: “The girls worked together, playing some critical netball to win the competition. Congratulations to the team, an incredible achievement!”
