Everything Art Deco
Our Year 7 textiles pupils are staying creative at home as they continue their study of everything art deco.
Characterised by bold geometric forms, art deco influenced styles of architecture and fashion between 1920 and 1930. Pupils have been tasked with creating a booklet, exploring the fashion, art, architecture of the 1920s.
Sophie Hadley, Senior Girls textiles teacher, was thrilled with the work created at home: “This is a fantastic start to their project. I love the girls’ use of colour and shapes in their title pages, they have captured the essence of art deco perfectly. In a time of such uncertainty, it is important to find time to follow creative pursuits as a way of relaxing and relieving stress.”
