Inspiring the scientists of the future
Our Year 6 girls have begun the transition that will see them prepared for the step up to Senior school next year with their first experience working in a scientific laboratory.
Investigating the angle at which light reflects from a material, the pupils carefully planned their experiments, collecting lots of data which will be used to practise their data analysis skills in the coming weeks as they look for patterns on which to base their scientific conclusions on. Marie Ericson, Science teacher, commented on the learning activity: “Exposing pupils to these sort of practical, hands-on learning experiences really helps to engage them in the subject and will work to foster a love of Science in years to come”.
