Get into the festive spirit with 12 days of Christmas countdown competition

Claires Court is calling for the community to get in the Christmas spirit and catch those festival feels with a 12 days of Christmas competition.
Pupils, staff, families and friends of the school are invited to reimagine the 12 days of Christmas by drawing, crafting, sculpting and acting their way through to Christmas. Creating a compilation of the well-known festive song in time for the Christmas holidays, the competition challenges participants to use their imagination to create, in their own unique way, one of the days 12 days listed in the song:
-
A partridge in a pear tree
-
Two turtle doves
-
Three French hens
-
Four calling birds
-
Five gold rings
-
Six geese a-laying
-
Seven swans a-swimming
-
Eight maids a-milking
-
Nine ladies dancing
-
Ten lords a-leaping
-
Eleven pipers piping
-
Twelve drummers drumming.
James Wilding, Academic Principal, said: “With such a different year and the current lockdown, we’re delighted to invite all the local community both inside and outside the school to use arts, craft and creativity to take part in representing the 12 days of Christmas, which we thought would make some family fun during the current lockdown, and then we can share and publicise in the build up to the festive season.”
With prizes up for grabs, entrants will be shortlisted with the winners for each of the 12 days voted for on the Claires Court Facebook page throughout December.
Entries should be emailed to marketing@clairescourt.com by Monday November 30 to be in for a chance of being featured in the Claires Court 12 days of Christmas countdown.
