Planning appeals

December 2020
Our planning inquiry for the development of the Ridgeway site took place in November 2020, and the decision by the planning inspector to dismiss the planning appeals was announced on 21 December.
Hugh Wilding, Administrative Principal, said: “The news of the planning appeal to dismiss our applications is extremely disappointing for everyone involved. We will review the decision notice and what our next steps to bring our school community onto one campus and provide sporting facilities for the community could be.
“We’d like to thank all of the Claires Court community, pupils, families and staff, members of the public, and our partners, in particular Maidenhead Hockey Club and its members, who have supported our plans and been great advocates for our wonderful school and the benefits of the planning applications.
“We remain committed to providing the very best education and sports and other facilities for the benefit of people in local and surrounding areas, and will continue to do so at our three sites.”
Maidenhead Hockey Club Chair, Lindsey Lucas, added: "Maidenhead Hockey Club would like to thank Claires Court for their continued support for the club’s vision to deliver a new hockey facility to accommodate matches, training and social facilities on one site, and with Claires Court will be continuing to review the club’s next steps.”
The proposed site aims to bring us all together on a modern purpose-built single campus with sports astros and club house for the use of the school and to share with Maidenhead Hockey Club (and these appeals do not include housing). For more information please click here >>>
