Claires Court PTA Summer Fete

Families and staff came out to enjoy and support the annual PTA Summer Fete on Saturday. A quick downpour of rain didn’t stop the fun though!

Starting  with a friendly football tournament with Years 4, 5 and 6 played in mixed teams against each other.  Later on in afternoon, activity and fun centred around the many stalls, displays and attractions, including train rides, country dancing, bouncy castles and a gun dog demonstration.

Principal James Wilding commented;

“This year's Summer Fete theme was the 'Great Outdoors' and in just one afternoon we saw all four seasons of the wonderful countryside we live in, plus experienced a full tropical monsoon! The Claires Court community is amazing; they hung on in there until the storm passed, and when the sun came out so did we too, to play, compete, shop, feed and above all, chat to family and friends!”

Graham Rogers, Treasurer of the local Lions Club charity, said;

“Thanks for giving the Lions the opportunity to bring their train to the fete. We raised £540 for the Lions Charity and this will be used as part of our efforts to support local families. I hope we will be invited again and thank all the PTA Committee and of course parents of our child passengers for their support of the Lions.”
