Tough Trials for County Athletics
Talented athletes from boys and girls in Years 7-11 attended a district trial in the hope of being selected to compete at the Berkshire County Athletics Championships, representing the area of Windsor & Maidenhead. This is a really a tough trial as many club athletes enter and so it is a major achievement if pupils are selected to compete. Claires Court had a total of 14 boys and 11 Girls selected to represent Windsor & Maidenhead at the Country Championships.
Jo Cox, PE Teacher at Senior Girls said;
“To have actually won medals at the Championships is a massive achievement. All selected athletes should be extremely proud of their achievements at the county event, congratulations!”
Mark Turner, PE Teacher at Senior Boys said;
“Well done to these medal winners. I would like to congratulate them on qualifying to represent Windsor and Maidenhead and competing well at the Athletics County Championships.”
