Edible Cells
Year 9 Biology pupils were given the task of making a model of a specialised cell for their homework.
Two pupils decided to make a cake model; one made a cake of a palisade cell found in leaves while the other chose to make a red blood cell cake (although the biology teacher did point out it was not biologically correct, as it rose too much rather than sink in the middle!).
The cakes were delicious according to their classmates who ate any scientific evidence after the lesson.
