Junior Boys Harvest Festival

The boys, staff, parents and Father Jeremy all joined together in the sports hall at Junior Boys to celebrate the Harvest Festival this week.
Together everyone sang harvest hymns, followed by poems performed by the boys. Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 sang songs about Dingle Dangle Scarecrows and Conkers and their wonderful Harvest Samba had everyone dancing in their seats.
All the boys and staff wore wellington boots (including Mr Spanswick who wore a full farmer’s outfit) as the theme of ‘farming’ was discussed. The hall look fabulous, as it was decorated with colourful cardboard cut-outs of wellies made by the boys.
Over 200 parents attended, donating generous amounts of food items from packets of cereal, soups and baked beans to a whole host of produce which will be given to our chosen charity Maidenhead Foodshare.
Thank you to everyone for making this a Harvest Festival to remember.
