National ‘Unicorn’ Poetry Day
Celebrating National Poetry Day, Reception girls were very lucky to have a visit from one pupil’s dad and English Teacher at Senior Boys, Mr Wespieser.
Mrs Suzanne James commented after the event;
“He came to do a 'live poem' with the girls after we had previously answered questions about the characters, the setting and plot of our poem. Fairies and unicorns were the main theme...
Mr Wespieser wrote a wonderful poem which he presented as a powerpoint - there were fairies, unicorns and butterflies zipping across the screen! He even taught us a unicorn song. The girls had a great time and were very good at interacting and participating.
Once Mr Wespieser left we were inspired to make up our very own unicorn fairy stories, so the girls split into two groups and acted out their stories. Tiana said 'this is the best day ever!'”
