Cave Drawings and Year 3 Detectives
Stepping out of the classroom, Year 3 became detectives by investigating *arrays (objects) in everyday life. They found all kinds of unexpected arrays including windows, the swimming pool, steps, paving slabs, lockers, fence posts and even the giant ‘Connect 4’ in Lower Juniors!
For their ‘Stones and Bones’ topic this term, the girls expanded their knowledge on cave drawings by using some of the same materials people from the Stone Age used to create traditional cave drawings… with a twist!
Miss Mansfield, Year 3 teacher said, “We stuck our paper to the underside of our desks and even turned off the lights to make it feel like we were in a real cave. The results were brilliant!”
