Showtime - A Night at The Movies
The spectacular show took place on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 November.
Head of Drama, Maggie Olivier said, "Claires Court School is not a performing arts school but the pupils again outshone themselves in this year’s collaborative musical extravaganza: A Night at the Movies at Norden Farm. Boys and girls from Year 10 and above joined forces taking the audience on a journey through some of the most loved moments of cinematography. The live band, solo singers, group singing, dancing and acting showed off a wide range of remarkable talent."
James Wilding, Academic Principal added, “The show demonstrated the commitment and hard work of both staff and students, from the opening scenes of the production with a 'Chaplinesque' Silent Movie. Innovations included a Busby Berkeley routine, a helicopter gunship backdrop, allusions to films as diverse as The Great Escape and Breakfast at Tiffany's. Nobody left the theatre without having had a moment of laughter and shedding a tear, with the Saturday Night finale definitely 'moving' us all."
