Former Pupil Appointed a Minister
We are pleased to announce that a former pupil at Claires Court has recently been appointed a minister in the Department of Health. Lord James O’Shaughnessy attended Claires Court between 1982 and 1989 and was formerly David Cameron’s director of policy.
In September 1982, James joined Class 1R (today’s Year 2) at Junior Boys and at the end of Year 5 (as it was in those days) he transferred to our Senior Boys where he stayed until 1989 before moving to Wellington College.
