Constellation Spotting in the Learning Dome

Mr Hume and his Planetarium visited the School and talked to the pupils in Year 1 and Year 5 as part of their Science studies.
The movement of the Earth and Moon were clearly illustrated and how the seasons occurred and the pupils asked lots of questions and extended knowledge of space.
The pupils also learned about the position of the stars and planets inside the inflatable learning dome. In complete darkness the stars were projected onto the roof of the dome and the children became enthralled stargazing and spotting different constellations.
