Stretching Imaginations at Tate Britain
Year 10 explored Tate Britain where they spent time gathering research for their GCSE coursework project, 'My World'.
On 11 February, pupils drew in their sketchbooks from exhibits in the galleries in the morning and in the afternoon, the boys and girls were split into two groups and took part in workshops which were led by practising artists.
The activities were designed to stretch the pupils’ creative imagination and self expression and help them to develop ideas for work back at school. One of the girls activities was to produce a piece of art using limited materials such as wool and paper. A good day was had by all and the pupils produced a large amount of work which can be developed and documented in their sketchbooks for GCSE.
