When Ridgeway Turned Into Hogwarts...

There was much excitement on Wednesday when Year 4 were visited by Hedwig the Owl bringing them some special mail... a personalised letter offering them a place at Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Thursday evening the class excitedly grasped their tickets for the Hogwarts Express and boarded the train for a fun filled magical evening... They started off with a taster of the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone whilst sampling some "Hufflepuff" popcorn and Dumbledore's Delightful juices.
Hogwarts style lessons then followed with the boys discovering their Harry Potter character name, trying Bertie Botts every flavoured beans (thankfully no one got the bogey flavour!) and taking the Wizard test with Professor Nott and there certainly was magic whizzing around like electricity!
Professor Jones and Hogg led a design and technology class making Hedwig's cage and Harry's trunk. The boys then tested their enchantment skills and some discovered they were able to conjure up some special gold coins. Then the boys were invited to attend Ollivanders where their wands chose them in a flurry of glitter, sparkles and feathers.
To close the evening, the boys had a candlelit story telling session led by Professor Hogg in the library where the weary wizards were enthralled by the latest chapter of Harry's adventures.....
Another wonderful Hogwarts evening.
