Claires Court Host the ISA Regional Netball Tournament

For the third year running Claires Court hosted the ISA U11 Netball Tournament at the Magnet Leisure Centre, with 12 teams from across London West participating. Claires Court displayed fantastic skill and made much progress during the afternoon coming forth in their group: beating LVS and St Catherines. This meant that Claires Court went through to the second round playoffs.

Katie Hudson, PE Teacher said;

Junior Girls Netball“The team were up against another tough school, Hawley Place! Credit to Hawley Place, they played exceptionally well and used their height to an advantage. However,  Claires Court didn’t make it easy for them, scoring some crucial goals. Unfortunately we began to tire and Hawley Place took the lead, and won the match.

This did not put the girls off, they re-grouped and Miss Barlow gave them a good team talk to get the team ready for their final match against Holme Grange for 7th and 8th place.  Having watched Holme Grange in the group stages, they knew they could do it! Again the team started with a high tempo, the ball was going from end to end at pace, and Claires Court scored some crucial goals. The girls defence were being made to work hard as Holme Grange were strong in attack but the girls managed to hold on until the end, to win the game!

Claires Court came in a pleasing 7th place overall. Well done girls!”
