Sunny Day for a Bug Hunt
It was a perfect, sunny spring day for a 'Bug Hunt' in The Thicket.
Armed with magnifying glasses and buckets, the Reception boys and girls set off to find a variety of bugs. Initially no bugs were anywhere to be seen until the children were reminded to look under logs and move branches.
All of a sudden they found snails, woodlice, spiders, worms and ladybirds to name a few!
After taking a close look at the bugs the children carefully placed them back in their natural habitat. It was a great afternoon and lots of fun was had by all.
Reception boys also had fun writing their own recipes to make mud pies for their teachers… yum!
