A Musical Way to Jump Into Spring

The junior concerts this spring were split into two to allow for the increasing number of instrumentalists and singers learning in school.
Junior Spring Music Concert: Reception-Year 3: Tuesday 7 March 2017
The first concert showcased the enthusiasm of the Reception to Year 3. The girls performed songs displaying the different styles of musical learning, from the enthusiastic dance 'Rock-a-Bye your Bear' performed by Reception to a percussion piece performed by Year 1. Soloists also enthralled, highlights included confident performer Charlene playing her grade 1 piece Løvet Faller and new players Lily and Madeleine.
Junior Spring Music Concert: Year 4 - Year 6: Thursday 9 March 2017
Thursday was the turn of Years 4 to 6. Highlights included songs by each year group including the enthusiastically performed 'The World's Greatest' sung by Years 5-6 and led by Mrs Barter. Also performing were girls taking part in the Year 4 instrument project who had composed a piece for the occasion called 'Stream, Jungle, Storm'. The choir sang, the ensemble played and soloists and groups excelled. Highlights included 'All of me' sung and played by Georgie and Mia and Samaira playing one of her Grade 2 pieces.
