When An Ancient Greek Visited

Year 6 were treated to a visit by an Ancient Greek from Ufton Court on Friday 17 March. The boys have been studying Ancient Greece all year and this was their second chance to get into character following their battle reenactment in January.
After dressing as Greeks, the boys learned all about the city states and what each one was famous for. They studied different artifacts and were able to point out what each told us about people who lived so long ago.
After some cut-throat trading in the agora there was some Spartan warrior training where the budding soldiers had to keep their heads!
The boys got a chance to act out two Greek plays and then finished off by learning about some Greek games.
