Senior Girls Drama Assessments
Each Senior Girl drama class have been busy rehearsing and performing pieces of work.
Year 7
Girls prepared a five scene performance around the theme of 'The Haunted Lift' demonstrating key skills in Drama (Improvisation, Facial Expressions, Thought Tracking and Characterisation).
Year 8
The girls Drama Assessments involved looking at TIE (Theatre in Education) by educating their audience on the issues around shoplifting and the effects this can have on both sides of the story. The key skill - Thought Tracking - enabled the girls to express key thoughts in roles reflecting how experiences affect lives.
Year 9
Using Mime Masks and Physical Theatre, the girls worked really hard producing themed based pieces focussing away from the use of dialogue. These pieces were most effective - dark and stylised and clearly displayed the effects of feeling - through dream type sequences.
Year 10
The Year 10 GCSE drama groups have been working on a mini script (Hard to Swallow by Mark Wheeler) studying Physical Theatre and Brecht styles. The performance displayed clear T.I.E (Theatre in Education) messages to the audience using skills of Multi Roles, Narration, Technical Theatre and Characterisation.
