Gingerbread Crimescene!

There was much excitement and confusion in Reception today.  To fit in with their Traditional Tales topic the girls have been reading The Gingerbread Man.

Mrs Suzanne James, Reception teacher summed up the events:

“We made our very own gingerbread men and while we left them to cool during playtime they disappeared! Luckily we were able to check the CCTV camera in our class (see the video here) and we saw some naughty gingerbread men stealing ours!!  So we decided to make 'missing' posters and look for evidence, as Ava said 'we are detectives and we need alert eyes and ears'.  Edie said 'this is a catastrophe.'

Eventually we found a note in the classroom which lead us to a variety of clues as to the whereabouts of our gingerbread men.  Finally the last clue said 'you need a key to set us free' - after much searching we found them locked in the shed!

We took them back to class to decorate and enjoy! Holly said 'they are yummy in our tummy'!
