Solving Mysteries at Salters Festival

A team of four enthusiastic Year 8 scientists participated in the Salters Festival of Chemistry on Tuesday 2 May at Brunel University.
The day comprised of three activities, the first of which involved solving a murder mystery entitled "Who Is The Prime Suspect?" using their analytical Chemistry techniques.
The afternoon involved making their own soap and testing the effectiveness of other soaps and the day finished with a demonstration lecture on light and the prize giving.
The team were delighted to be awarded third place out of fourteen schools in the Salters' Challenge (the murder mystery).
