Holding Chicks and Growing Sunflowers

The chicks have hatched and the Nursery children just could not not wait to hold the fluffy newborns.
The boys and girls gently took in turns holding and stroking the chicks and watching in fascination as they chirped.
Mrs Wilding, Head of Nursery said:
"The children have learned so much about the life cycle of a chick over the last 2 weeks having seen the eggs hatch and grow and have been able to hold them. They examined the egg shells and talked about their findings."
Whilst all this was going on, the boys and girls removed seeds from sunflowers using tweezers so they can be planted.
Over the next few weeks the boys and girls will enjoy watching their seeds blossom into beautiful flowers.
