The topic this week in the Nursery has been planting and growing. Heading out in the Nursery garden the boys and girls have sown lots of seeds; coriander, cumin, carrots, broad beans and sunflower seeds.
They also planted some inside their classrooms and have begun watering everyday.
The children are v
ery excited to see the sunflower seeds have started to grow, and cress has gone home to be enjoyed on salads or in sandwiches. Let’s hope this will be a successful growing season!
Transition children have had a busy week talking about and deciding their favourite weather and have created weather wheels, bar charts, masks and symbols.
The children have increased their understanding of the world around them, extended their language and numeracy, and practised scissor skills.
