Sixth Form Sports Afternoon

Last week the Year 12 Sport BTEC students organised a “Sixth Form Sports Afternoon”. The events included mixed Netball, Tug of War and an obstacle race.
The Netball matches were fiercely contested, despite very little regard for the actual rules. Charlie Monk commented that he didn’t know Netball was so hard!
The Tug of War was a fine spectacle providing much amusement for all the spectators.
The obstacle race consisted of skipping (only actually managed by Matt Hine), hurdles (jumped by Connor Thomas without footwear), Space hopper racing (great bouncing by Chris Rayer but slight stretching of the rules by Sophie Corrigall and Bobbi Culross) and finally quoit balancing on the head with a fine sense of balance shown by Owain Griffiths, Todd Muil and Bethany Krause.
The weather was very kind to us and everyone had a great afternoon.
