Exploring Highclere’s Past
Year 4 boys and girls had a wonderful trip to Highclere Castle, the home of the 8th Earl of Carnarvon and his wife.
The pupils have been studying Ancient Egypt in school and had the chance to visit the Tutankhamun Exhibition, which has been created by Lady Carnarvon. The boys and girls experienced what it might have felt like to discover the tomb of a Pharaoh and were able to see the wonderful replicas of items found by the 5th Earl of Carnarvon and the archaeologist Howard Carter.
It was an amazing day which all the pupils enjoyed and led to one pupil saying "This was the best school trip I have been on!"
