The girls have been really enjoying it and thanks to some great role play of their own cinema experiences, a real 'Cinema Morning' took place, adding great fun to a maths lesson.  

Mrs James, Reception Teacher, explained;

“The girls had tickets with their own seat numbers and 10p to spend.  The ticket price was 5p, which meant everyone had 5p for refreshments.  The problem was that the popcorn and sweets were 3p each and the drinks were 2p.  It didn't take long for the girls to work out that they couldn't have both sweets and popcorn! After a lot of decision making and negotiating some girls settled for either popcorn or sweets whereas others put their money together and shared the popcorn and sweets!  It was great to see the girls handling money, some had just 1p's and others had a combination of 1 and 2p's.”
