Swimming in Success at the ISA National Gala

Senior Girl Rhiannon Thomas, Year 7, stole the show at the Independent Schools Association National Swimming Gala, winning all of her races to claim an impressive four gold medals.

Hosted at the London Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park, Rhiannon stood out as arguably one of the strongest swimmers at the national event, coming first in all four of her events, namely the 50m front crawl, 50m breaststroke, the medley relay and the freestyle relay.

Joanne Cox, Senior Girls Head of PE, commented:

“We are absolutely thrilled by Rhiannon’s success, she is a superb swimmer and all-round athlete, there is much to come from her in the future! She is dedicated in her approach and fiercely competitive in the pool. We are so proud of Rhiannon’s achievements and look forward to watching her continue to thrive and be her best self.”

Claires Court saw further success at the competition as Junior Girls pupil Charlotte Burfitt, Year 4, achieved a bronze medal for the U9 individual 50m Breaststroke on her first time competing in such a high standard gala; along with Junior Boys pupil George Norris, Year 6, who came away with a gold medal after swimming an amazing race to help his team finish first in the Freestyle Relay.
