Stephen Rhodes leads the catering team at Claires Court and said: “During the pandemic we’ve had the school kitchens closed and we wanted to see the supplies we had go to a good cause, so we were happy to find Slough Outreach providing such a vital service and support their amazing effort by donating food and drink.”

The donations included dry foods, snacks, drinks, and fillings and sauces for hot meals. 

Slough Outreach is catering from Langley College’s kitchens and delivering food all around surrounding areas. The group has distributed more than 25,000 meals since the outbreak began. Volunteers made up of furloughed chefs spend the morning creating hot dishes using food which has been donated to the cause.

Shin Dother, founder of Slough Outreach, welcomes food donations and said: Slough Outreach have a team of very selfless and passionate volunteers who want to improve the lives of those that society has forgotten by providing hot food, warm clothes and a lot of love, care and support.

“We are very fortunate to have the support of communities and like-minded groups to support those less fortunate. Thank you Claires Court for your generous donation, which will help us to serve those in need in our communities.”
