Amber - Year 7
Amber only joined the School in September but has quickly got involved in all aspects of school life.
Amber is enjoying the practicals she’s been doing recently in Science, measuring forces using a Newton meter. Her other favourite subject is Textiles, where she’s been learning about art deco. She recently made a collage in the shape of the Empire State Building.
Interviewed January 2019
“The best thing about Claires Court is the way the teachers help and their patience. It’s an amazing School and I found it really easy to fit in because everyone’s keen to help you and make sure you’re alright. I’m now part of the art club, STEM club, sailing club, hockey club, the choir, ensemble and I have piano and clarinet lessons. I’m very busy! I recently played my clarinet at the School’s carol service in December and at the Senior Girls Performance Platform where we showcased what musical pieces we’ve been working on to our parents. My highlight so far has to be the trip to Cliveden National Trust when I joined, it was really fun cutting back plants that were spreading.
“I think being taught separately to boys works really well as at my old school I found the boys noisy and districting, but it’s good to socialise with them when we come together sometimes for activities and trips.”
