Meet A Pupil

Max - Year 9

Max has been at Claires Court since 2007, when he joined in Reception, and he is now an Academic Scholar.

Max enjoys practical subjects the most, and his favourite subjects are science and maths. In maths at the moment, he’s learning about factorising, and in science, he’s exploring speed, distance and time.

Interviewed January 2018

“The best thing about Claires Court is the opportunities it provides, such as the range of sports and trips. Last year for example I went on the Spanish Trip in October to Malaga and Granada, where we practised Spanish and learnt more about the culture, by going flamenco dancing and making paella in a cookery class! Sports-wise, I particularly enjoy playing rugby and rowing, and at the moment I’m the rugby A-team Vice Captain. Most weekends we play against schools in the area, as well as have rowing fixtures.

“In the future I think I’d like to be a Data Scientist or Forensic Scientist, and I’m focusing on getting good grades because I’d like to go to university. If I had to describe the school in three words, I would say homely, encouraging and busy."
