Achievement
Junior Boys achieve wellacademically, and with our high standards, are socially well prepared for the challenges ahead.
We are skilled in developing pupils' talents, allowing them to flourish and become confident learners, creative performers, committed sports men, challenging them to give their best, so that when your son reaches Year 6 he is ready for the next stage in his education.
Our boys progress well and exceed national expectations
Pupils do not take SATs but progress is tracked through our own tracking system which measures progress against National Curriculum levels.
Your son will be assessed internally in English, Maths and Science at various stages. Every pupil is screened at the beginning of the year using INCAs which helps inform the teacher’s planning for the coming year. In addition, every pupil sits Progress in English (PiE) and Progress in Maths (PiM) for their end of year exams in May. Through pupil progress meetings, achievements are tracked and monitored throughout the year to ensure that each individual is supported and challenged appropriately.
The graphs below demonstrate how well our pupils perform at the end of their junior school journey as well as how much progress they make versus the national average at Key Stage 2.
Claires Court junior pupils consistently attain well above the national average and achieve above the expected progress.
