FURTHER INFORMATION AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The School operates an extensive coach service covering many local towns and villages with nearly 400 of our pupils using this service daily.
As the service plays such an important part, we asked parents to provide feedback on the service provided. As a result, timings have been adjusted, routes extended, new stops introduced and to further improve the service offered, new routes have been introduced.
Where can I find out the coach routes and timetables?
The coach map outlines our routes showing the key locations and the coach providers running each route. Please note that some of our routes have changed and the Chalfont/Stoke Poges and Farnham Common routes have been combined.
The timetables of all of our routes include details of all the stops, timings for inter-site transfers and details of the new early fast route home on Monday nights.
What if I would like an additional stop?
Our service is flexible and we are able to add additional stops, if it fits within the current routes. It is always worth asking! Please contact us for assistance.
How much does the service cost?
Our prices are set by band, no increases have been applied to our services this year. Charge band D has been introduced for pupils using the inter-site transfer only*. Siblings using inter-site transfer to allow easy pickup by parents is FREE but must be pre-booked.
Which pass is best for my child?
This pass is valid for the full academic year. There are no refunds unless a term's notice is provided (please note in the event of a cancellation, the termly pass rates will be used to calculate the refund). This pass must be booked in advance for the academic year and will be invoiced in September.
Valid for an academic term, available on a return or a one-way basis and are priced accordingly. This pass must be booked in advance for the term and will be invoiced at the start of each term.
REGULAR DAILY PASS
Suitable for those making regular, but less than five journeys per week. These may be a combination of morning and afternoon journeys. This pass must be booked in advance for the term and will be invoiced at the start of each term.
AD HOC TICKETS
These must be purchased 24 hours in advance of the date of travel where at all possible, and are intended for emergencies or occasional times. This ticket is not meant for "regular" use. Please book using the Ad Hoc Booking Form on our website.
How do I book a place on the coach for my child?
- To book a place on any coach route, please use the Coach Pass Order Form
For sibling inter-site transfer, please also indicate your intention to use this service on the Coach Pass Order Form
When you book you will be asked the route, stop and type of pass you require. You will be charged at the appropriate price for your child.
What if I wish to make use of the inter-site transfer only?
We encourage parents to use these transfers. The service is now available between all our sites at the start and end of the day.
- Where parents have siblings on different sites, this service is free of charge.
- For all other users, this will be charged at the new Charge Rate D.
- In both cases, please indicate your requirements on the Coach Pass Order Form
Do you issue coach passes?
The School issues passes for all pupils using our coach routes (except inter-site transfer ONLY), and they will indicate the route and stop number. Registers are likely to be used by our coach drivers.
The coach passes will be posted to your family home during the summer. Your child(ren) will be expected to present the pass each day they travel and abide by the Code of Conduct.
If you have paid and have not received a pass before the start of term, please contact the school.
Please remember, that if you do not purchase a pass, your child may not be allowed to use the coach on the first day of term.
How do I know if the coach is delayed?
The School uses a text message system to advise parents if the coach is delayed in the morning or evening. We can only contact parents, so if there is a significant delay in the morning, please be aware you may need to contact your child. We will ALWAYS ensure your child is picked up in the morning even if there are severe delays.
What if my child misses the coach?
We recommend pupils are always at the coach stop 5 minutes before departure. Coaches should not depart before their allocated time. If your child does miss the coach however, we are unable to collect them and you will need to make arrangements.
What if I need different stops/routes during the week to accommodate my child’s travel?
Our service is flexible, but please contact us so we can make sure there is sufficient space and your child is booked appropriately as this is important for the safety and security of your child.
