At Junior Boys we will lay firm foundations for your son to be a confident and resilient learner, building on his essential learning skills and provide a stimulating environment that will foster his love of learning.
Our curriculum aims are:
To encourage the boys to make the best possible progress in every subject
To promote an enjoyment of and commitment to learning
To provide a secure basis for future education, equipping the boys with all the necessary skills they will need
To inspire the boys to be leaders in their chosen field
Learning is exciting and teaching is inspirational
Ask any Junior Boy about lessons and he will say ‘they are fun’. From Reception to Year 6 our broad and varied curriculum reflects the way boys acquire and apply knowledge and skills. Learning is brought to life in all subjects through the passion imparted by our dedicated teachers and active lessons that capture your son’s imagination and engage him. However, alongside the excitement of ‘reenacting the Great Fire of London’, to grasp the topic in history, there is a calm and respectful learning environment in class that enables boys of all abilities to fulfill their potential.
By applying the Claires Court learning philosophy, The Essentials, your child will be encouraged to investigate and discover, to think creatively and be inquisitive, sometimes in the outdoor classroom, sometimes through the exploration of the digital world.
Pupils achieve high levels of knowledge, understanding and skills in curriculum subjects
