Meet the Head & Students
Head of Sixth Form
Stephanie Rogers took over as Head of Sixth Form in September 2018.
Driven by passion to prepare and empower young people through education, Stephanie knows what it takes to get students through these two important years of their learning.
"Watching a student develop from a pupil into a young adult over the two years they are with us is extremely satisfying. Seeing them find their identity and flourish in it is amazing."
How do you prepare students for the rigours of SIXTH FORM STUDY and beyond?
We engender a sense of value and worth in each student, and encourage optimum levels of self-belief. From this position of strength, with our continued support, each individual can then advance their personal and academic development and enjoy the success they are capable of.
What makes the Sixth Form at Claires Court different?
Each student is valued as an individual and enjoys a bespoke education in our Sixth Form. Their achievements, whether academic or otherwise, are recognised and celebrated. Our students subscribe to our maxim, ‘aim high, believe in yourself and make a difference’, and become confident, competent and well rounded young people during their time at Claires Court.
How do think your students would describe you?
I would hope the students see me as positive, supportive, encouraging, good humoured (despite my terrible jokes!) and demanding! I believe they know they are my first priority.
What do you want to bring to the division?
Being a Head of Sixth Form is an immense privilege and with it comes the opportunity to instil the values of respect, responsibility, loyalty and integrity which are fundamental to our ethos. My role is to ensure our teaching faculty are supported in their goal to encourage curiosity, independence and resilience in the students they nurture and to establish a positive, inclusive and affirming environment for students to prosper in.
