NURSERY FEES 2015-2016
The fees are based on attendance for the same set of morning, lunch or afternoon sessions each week throughout the term. In the Nursery, extra morning or afternoon sessions can usually be added, subject to availability, during the term for a pro rata fee. We will endeavour to change sessions on request but this may incur an extra charge. In Transition, whilst attendance is compulsory on all five mornings per week, afternoon sessions may be added on a similar basis.
Sessions are priced at £22.00 per morning in the Nursery. Lunchtimes and Afternoons are £6.00 and £16.00 per session respectively.
Fees are payable by Direct Debit on the second Monday of each half term unless already paid by Childcare Vouchers. A charge of £20.00 will be levied for failed Direct Debit payments. The School reserves the right to exclude children from attendance whilst fees remain unpaid.
Although the term’s fees are priced per session, a half term’s commitment is required. No credits will be given for a child’s absence from the Nursery.

* Fees relate to the non-free entitlement i.e. those hours over and above the 3 free hours available per day.
Where attendance is selected for Morning and Afternoon Sessions on the same day, it is necessary to add a Lunchtime Session for the same day and for the child to come with a packed lunch on that day. We regret that there is no facility for providing food within or for the Nurseries.
Fees are invoiced each half term. Half terms differ in length and fees will be invoiced pro‑rata.
SESSIONS
The Nursery and Transition day is divided into three sessions:
- Morning Session 8:30 am - 12:00 noon
- Lunchtime Session 12:00 noon - 1:15 pm
- Afternoon Sessions 1:15 pm - 3:30 pm
Children may be dropped off earlier than the times shown above and may be collected later. Our Before and After School Care services start from 7.30 am and extend until 6.30 pm. We also offer a Holiday Club which extends our provision of childcare beyond term time. These out of school care arrangements must be booked separately once registration formalities have been completed. Further information and booking forms are available from the school office.
Please advise us of your preference of sessions at the time of Registration. We will endeavour to accommodate those requests.
ATTENDANCE
Children must attend for a minimum of two morning sessions per week. Parents wishing to opt for further morning and/or lunch and afternoon sessions may do so, subject to availability, with each session of the week being separately booked.
The Transition Classes operate on a five mornings per week basis offering academic continuity and development in the pupils' work. Parents wishing to opt for lunch and/or afternoon sessions may do so, subject to availability, with each day of the week being booked separately.
LUNCHTIME SESSIONS & afternoon activities
LUNCHTIME SESSIONS
Between the Morning and Afternoon sessions, we offer Lunchtime sessions during which children are supervised while eating a packed lunch supplied from home, and a rest afterwards. There is no facility for providing food in the Nurseries but Transition pupils may take lunch in the school dining room. The charge for a school lunch is £2.70 per day in addition to the lunchtime session charge.
AFTERNOON ACTIVITIES
A feature of our Nurseries and Transition is the activity programme offered in the afternoons. Activities offered for the Autumn Term include Pre-Ballet Movement, Malleable Materials, French, Music, Imaginative Play and Physical Development. Those children who regularly attend on the afternoon of the activity are invited to join in without further charge. Some activities are strictly limited as to the number of participants. It is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
REGISTRATION FEES & DEPOSITS
SIBLING DISCOUNTS, FREE NURSERY EDUCATION & VOUCHERS
SIBLING DISCOUNT
Children who attend all day for five days per week and are the younger brothers or sisters of pupils on roll full-time at Claires Court are entitled to a sibling discount of £300 per term.
FREE NURSERY EDUCATION
Our setting has been accepted by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM) as an appropriate provider of Early Years Education. Currently all three and four year olds are entitled to free nursery education of 15 hours per week, paid by Nursery Education Funding (NEF) from the RBWM. To qualify for funding, it is necessary to provide proof of age (e.g. a birth certificate) and to sign a Parental Declaration form (available from the main office).
We offer three hours free each morning within our morning sessions.
Subject to availability, the Nursery has a small number of places available from 12:30 to 15:30 daily during term time. These are offered on a no-registration fee basis (for entry at 3+ years) but, in order to ensure equality and fairness, it is necessary to operate a waiting list system. Please apply as soon as possible to the Head of the Nursery in writing if you wish your child’s name to be placed on this waiting list. Please also note that these sessions are not available to those attending morning sessions and that uniform is required (see below). The Registration Fee of £100 is immediately payable if other sessions are taken e.g. casual, pro rata and out-of-school care sessions.
The eligible birthdates indicated in the fee table are those provided by the RBWM and are based on the current funding obligations of the local authority. These may change in the future and the dates are to be used as a guide only.
CHILD CARE VOUCHERS
The School will accept Child Care vouchers in payment of Nursery Fees under HMRC rules or will invoice Parents’ employers direct. The School’s contract, however, remains with the Parents, who will be liable for settlement of Fees in the event that Child Care vouchers or employer invoices are unpaid for any reason.
CASUAL SESSIONS
Casual extra sessions can be booked subject to availability. Please enquire directly with Nursery staff. Rates per casual session are as follows (these sessions do not qualify for Nursery Education Funding):
Casual Morning Session | £29.00 |
Casual Lunchtime Session | £9.00 (£11.70 if school lunch taken – Transition) |
Casual Afternoon Session | £20.00 |
INSURANCE AND UNIFORM
INSURANCE
Insurance cover against personal injury and dental accident is included: Please note that cover does not extend to medical expenses.

All children in the Nurseries and Transition must wear the official School burgundy sweatshirt and grey T-shirt. Both are available from the School’s uniform supplier, Goyals in Bridge Street, Maidenhead (01628 639725).
