Achievements & Results

Senior Girls Results Day 2019

In 2020, 94.6% of our girls achieved five 4+ grades, with 91.9% gaining five or more 4+ grades including Maths and English. Additionally, 57.6%  were awarded 9-7 grades.

This is amazing for a mixed ability cohort and cannot be fairly compared with the outcomes of pupils at selective independent and grammar schools.

At Claires Court a pupil’s exam results often far exceed their expectations, as reflected in a measure known as ‘value-added’. Our current value-added score means girls achieve 0.8 grades above their baseline score, that is to say, that in eight out of ten of their GCSE subjects they will achieve a grade higher than predicted. For example, a pupil with an expectation for 10 GCSEs at grade B, at Claires Court, could achieve 8As and 2Bs.

We recognise that whilst academic outcomes are important, what is just as relevant and required more and more by universities and employers, is the ability to adapt and apply knowledge, to be able to work as part of a team.

The Results page has full details of our GCSE and A-level outcomes across the School for the past five years.

Across the school, the academic curriculum provides a broad and coherent education for pupils of all ages, and fully supports the learning principles and philosophy of the school, and the high level of pupils’ achievements.
