Whether you are looking for your daughter to be a regular team member of the School's top squads or to have the chance to participate for the first time in a netball or hockey team, our dedicated sport and PE teachers will give her every opportunity to shine and take part.
Enjoyment, improvement and variety are the name of the game and we are aware that many other values can be learned through sport.
Our teachers aim to inspire a generation, through offering a range of opportunities to as many pupils as possible as well as providing an extensive fixtures list.
Your daughter will have the opportunity to enjoy and develop her skills in:
- Cross Country
- Gymnastics and Dance
Girls compete regularly against schools in the local and national arena. Success and endeavour are celebrated and recognised, whether achievement is on an individual or team basis.
Visit our dedicated sports website to see the competitive sports on offer, take a look at the news section to read about our pupil's more recent accomplishments, or find out how your daughter can apply for a Sport Scholarship.
ONES TO WATCH
There have been many occasions in recent years where the School has supported rising sports stars to realise their sporting ambitions alongside their academic goals. Ellie Rayer, former head girl, represented England at Hockey and Wales at Athletics whilst studying at Claires Court. Ellie is now studying Sports Technology at Loughborough, whilst playing in the England Hockey squad. Ellie recently won a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games.
Sharp shooter and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year, Amber Hill, is also a former Claires Court girl. After successfully completing her GCSEs in 2013, Amber went on to win a silver medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games women's skeet shooting final.
We were delighted that Ellie paid tribute to her time with us by nominating the School as a Golden Gateway to her sport! Read all about it in our news story here.
