Announcement

Claires Court has begun an exciting new chapter following its recent change of ownership to the LTC Education Group (LTCEG), with a number of leadership developments announced as part of the next stage in the school’s future.

The first few weeks as part of the LTC Education Group have been very positive. Members of the LTCEG leadership team have spent time across the school meeting colleagues, learning more about how Claires Court operates day to day and building relationships with staff and the wider community.

We are delighted to share an important leadership update from one of our schools within the LTC Education Group family.

Following a thorough and highly competitive recruitment process, Claires Court has appointed Judith Fremont-Barnes as Principal of Claires Court Juniors and Nursery, effective from September 2026.

This newly enhanced role has been designed as a key leadership position, reflecting the school’s commitment to continued growth and excellence. Judith will report directly to the Executive Principal, Christine Cunniffe, strengthening strategic development and ensuring a clear, ambitious vision for the future of the Junior and Nursery School.

Judith joins Claires Court from St Paul’s Cathedral School in London, where she has served as Head since 2023. During her time there, she has led several significant developments across both education and pupil wellbeing, including the introduction of a girls’ choir and the expansion of boarding provision. She has also contributed at a strategic level as part of the school’s Executive Leadership Team.

Bringing a wealth of experience across a wide range of educational settings, Judith has previously held headship roles at Milton Abbey School in Dorset and Duke of Kent School in the Surrey Hills, where she led a period of strong growth and innovation. Her career has also included senior leadership positions at Radley College and More House School, as well as international teaching experience in Japan.

At the heart of Judith’s approach is a strong belief that achievement must be rooted in wellbeing. Her Master’s degree in Education focused on inclusive education, and she is passionate about delivering a holistic education that prepares pupils to be confident, capable and future-ready; all values that closely align with those of Claires Court and the wider LTC Education Group.

Speaking about her appointment, Judith said:

“It’s a great privilege to have been appointed to lead Claires Court Juniors and Nursery through its next exciting chapter as part of the LTC family of schools. Claires Court’s focus on building confidence and character so that all children can achieve is inspiring. The warmth and strength of the community are really obvious the moment you walk through the door: I’m very much looking forward to getting to know pupils, families and staff in the term ahead.”
